I was born in nice and sunny Southern Switzerland for then moving to
Madagascar
for a few year, a long trip to
India
then brought us back to
Switzerland
, where I settled till my PhD.
I studied biology at the
University
of
Neuchâtel
with main focus in ecology and systematic of plants, animals and insects, for later on doing my master in evolutionary entomology. I obtained my PhD degree also at the same University in tritrophic interactions (i.e. the chemically mediated relationships of plants, herbivores, and their predators). After a civil service in
Bolivia
in the Guaraní Indians territory, I got married with Corinna and had a wonderful baby named Matteo. I am presently working at
Cornell
University
, pursuing my favourite topic: Belowground tritrophic interactions.
